The competition attracted more than 100 undergraduates from all grades of the university. The topics were adapted from previous ACM competitions, and the difficulty of the topics was divided into three grades from easy to difficult, based on the topic setting standards of national ACM competitions.The competition wasintense andexciting, and two grand prizes, four first prizes, six second prizes and eight third prizes were selected.
The competition provided a stage for students to show their programming ability, stimulated students' enthusiasm for programming and algorithm research, broadened their horizons, improved their innovative thinking ability, and helped to further cultivate their professional knowledge, while injecting fresh blood into the ACM competition team of the university, giving full play to the role of the discipline competitions of "promoting teaching and learning through competition", and playing an active role in promoting the strategy of cultivating talents of applied technical engineers in the college.
ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (English full name: ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest) is an annual competition aiming at demonstrating college students' innovative ability, team spirit and ability to write programs, analyze and solve problems under pressure, and has been honored with the title of "Olympics of Programming". ACM/ICPC has been held for 42 times since 1970, which has not only been valued by international famous universities, but also highly concerned by world famous computer companies, such as IBM, SUN, GOOGLE and other world famous information enterprises have become the sponsors of the competition one after another. The college attaches great importance to this kind of competition, and actively carries out school-level and college-level competitions to cultivate the team members of the Great ACM Competition. The representative team of the college has advanced into the provincial and national competitions for many times with the support of the leadership of the college and achieved remarkable results.
